Sali-Wyn has a great deal of educational experience. She regularly participates in Philharmonia Family Concerts at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and enjoys being involved in all aspects of educational music. She worked for Live Music Now for many years as a performer, taking music to deprived and restricted venues with Celticana String Quartet. She successfully led a series of workshops for school children in Cardiff, as part of the Welsh Proms in 2003. The Quartet was chosen to perform at the Wigmore Hall as part of a week of workshops for youngsters - the scheme is known as 'Chamber Tots'. Sali has a B. Mus Hons degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and as part of the course she spent two terms doing project work at various schools in East London, including Tower Hamlets. After graduating, Sali-Wyn combined her performing career with being string teacher at Westminster City Boys School, where she taught Violin, Viola, Cello and ensemble work. Her coaching skills have been demonstrated at many levels, from sectionals at county orchestras to involvment in several sound and development projects for Classic FM. She continues to enjoy coaching chamber music at various levels and looks forward to future challenges!
