Sali-Wyn Ryan has been a professional musician since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1999 with a BMus honours degree, the LGSM and the ARCM performance diploma.

As a violinist,  Sali-Wyn has played with some of the most highly regarded orchestras and ensembles in the country. She plays frequently with the Philharmonia Orchestra with whom she has toured extensively and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. During the last ten years she has also regularly performed with orchestras such as English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, the London Chamber Orchestra and the London Mozart Players.

Sali-Wyn has great deal of chamber music experience, especially as founder member and leader of Celticana String Quartet, whose accolades include performances at the BBC Proms in the Park and alongside Bryn Terfel, as well as being featured artists on one of Bryn's recent albums.

As a highly versatile musician, Sali-Wyn has notable experience outside the classical world and has played in West End shows, 'Sinatra' and the long running hit 'The Lion King'. As a session musician Sali-Wyn has been involved in the recording of several pop albums and film soundtracks, most recently for 'Stardust' and 'Asterix the Gladiator'. Live performances include the 2005 Royal Variety Show with Dame Shirley Bassey, Will Young and McFly.

Sali-Wyn has excelled as a soloist from an early age; winning numerous competitions in Wales whilst growing up and being involved in music making from within the family through to the international stage! Most recently, in 2007, Sali-Wyn toured Australia and New Zealand as soloist with the Morriston Orpheus Choir, culiminating in performances at Sydney Opera House.

As an events organiser, Sali-Wyn has many skills. She has been involved with organising music for Classic FM events and several private projects. In 2007 she promoted and organised a charity concert for the British Heart Foundation, with players from the Philharmonia and presenter Jane Jones from Classic FM.

Sali-Wyn has been a freelance radio producer for Classic FM since 1999 and has extensive studio and music research experience. She also recently wrote an article for Classic FM magazine on the life of a freelance musician!

Sali-Wyn continues to enjoy a varied musical career and looks forward to new challenges throughout 2008.
